"CITY REFLECTIONS: A DRIZZLY DUSK IN LONDON’S THEATRE-LAND"

We wanted to create a piece of Art that reflected the buzz of the west End and Theatre-Land in central London. Initially I walked around taking pictures of different moments around London. I was always fascinated by perspective and the drama of light and shade. So I started to take panoramic images and experimenting with different perspectives at dusk.

The result is three panoramic scenes linked together to create one long image. As the viewer's eyes travel from left to right, they are met with a city alive with activity. Rows of buildings line the scene, towering Victorian facades adorned with ornate architecture and warm glowing signage. The lights from the Theatres and shops casting long shimmering reflections across the wet pavements.

In the foreground, I included a diverse group of people, each engrossed in their own activities. Some huddle under umbrellas, others running for shelter under a shared jacket, while some are settled enjoying the moment. This artwork serves as a celebration of the enduring spirit of Theatre-land and invites the viewer to experience the enchantment of a rainy night in London, where creativity and artistry thrive amidst the downpour.
